Do you come to our home to do the estimates?

It is possible to request a visit to obtain an estimate for a project, but fees may be charged for time and travel, which may vary depending on the distance to the location.

FREE ESTIMATE

To obtain a free estimate, it must be submitted and sent via the internet. The estimate is then prepared based on photos or sketches/plans. These estimates are sent by email and do not require travel.

If the estimate sent is accepted and you decide to entrust us with the work, then a visit to your home or site may be scheduled and will be included in the contract.

This visit will allow you to choose the materials (comfort and padding), the upholstery, and all the details of the furniture to be created or upholstered: dimensions, types of construction, upholstery options, buttons, tufting, decorative nails, cords, flutes, legs, etc.

Are your services available in my area?

Our services are mainly offered in the greater Montreal area, including the south and north shores of the river, in the Quebec City area, and in the Appalachian region, which is the south shore of Quebec City extending to Kamouraska.

This does not mean that our services are exclusively reserved for people living in these areas. If you live in another region, you can still request estimates by email, but if you wish to entrust us with the work, you will need to travel to the first meeting where we will discuss your project in detail. It is also possible to travel to your home, provided that this has been agreed in advance.

However, for custom-made furniture, delivery will be included, regardless of your location.

Do you offer transportation services?

UPHOLSTERY SERVICES

For furniture upholstery services, we offer a pick-up and delivery service once the work is complete. Fees will apply depending on the distance traveled and whether we need one or two people to move the furniture.

If someone at the residence is able to assist with pickup and delivery, a discount will be applied.

CUSTOM SOFA SERVICES

For custom furniture and sofas, with the exception of small projects, transportation is included for delivery and installation at your home. If you live outside the areas we serve, delivery arrangements will be discussed in advance.

Delivery services are included, but are not free of charge. If you are able to move your custom furniture yourself, a discount may be applied.

What services does LUWISS offer?

UPHOLSTERY SERVICES

LUWISS still offers furniture upholstery services, but this service has been limited since 2023. We mainly work on smaller pieces of furniture or projects such as chairs, armchairs, and replacement of stuffing and removable cushions. For other projects, please contact us to find out about our availability. We will provide you with a reference if your project no longer fits within our scope of activities.

CUSTOM-MADE SOFA SERVICES

LUWISS has diversified into the creation of custom-made sofas in recent years and now focuses primarily on this niche market. These are entirely custom-made pieces of furniture that cannot be found on the market. We work WITH you to create your sofa or any other upholstered furniture to meet your space requirements and preferences in terms of design, appearance, and comfort. When you choose LUWISS to create your custom furniture, a meeting is scheduled at your home (or at the location where the furniture will be installed). This allows us to better understand your environment and thus better harmonize your future furniture with your living or working space.

3D SKETCH

Before crafting your future furniture, a three-dimensional sketch is created, which we can modify to arrive at the final model. You can then visualize your future furniture in the designated space to validate everything. Only at the end of this process can manufacturing begin. This gives you a very clear idea of the result even before the furniture is made.

FREE ESTIMATES – PAID ESTIMATES

Our estimates are free when provided electronically (mainly by email). If you are satisfied with the estimate and would like to entrust us with the work, a free meeting will be arranged to discuss the project in more detail. Certain restrictions may apply. Please contact us for a personalized response.

There will be a charge for estimates made at your home or at the project site. Fees may vary depending on distance and time required.
