Designing non-toxic, trans-generational, robust, repairable, modifiable furniture, capable of adapting to our lifestyle and our needs that evolve and change over time, all to reduce the impact of our consumption on our budget and on the environment. This is LUWISS.
In an era where everything goes so fast, taking the time to create something well-made, respectful of our nourishing planet and our health, are values that I deeply believe in. Because we need an alternative that takes us away from consuming and throwing away which, in addition to polluting with all the waste that results, forces us to continually empty our pockets in order to replace these goods specifically designed not to last (planned obsolescence).
In its early days, LUWISS only offered furniture upholstery services. Having the chance to reupholster used furniture, including furniture from great designers such as Knoll, B&B Italia, Huber, Hans Wegner, Gaetano Pesce, Borsini and many others, is having the opportunity to learn from the work of masters and get the best out of it, or the worst, depending on what we prioritize.
LUWISS custom sofas are inspired by all the best practices observed over the years during our upholstery work and which have stood out for their exceptional quality and durability. They have been updated to adapt to our contemporary context in order to offer non-toxic, durable, repairable furniture that can evolve with you and is designed to be passed on over several generations.
LUWISS is a very modest contribution to preserving the beauty of our world, but I remain convinced that these small gestures, combined with all our small gestures, will end up making a big difference.
